The Little Fir Tree - हिंदी अनुवाद
एक बार एक magician अपने घर वापस जा रहा था। अचानक बहुत तेज बारिश शुरू हो गई। उसने चारों ओर shelter ढूँढा। तभी उसे एक छोटा fir tree दिखाई दिया। वह उसके पास गया और उसके नीचे shelter ले लिया। कुछ समय बाद बारिश रुक गई।
Magician ने fir tree को धन्यवाद दिया और कहा कि वह उससे खुश है क्योंकि tree ने उसके साथ kindness की। उसने fir tree को reward देने के लिए कहा कि वह चार wishes माँग सकता है और वह उसकी सभी wishes पूरी करेगा।
Fir tree के पत्ते needle जैसे थे और कोई भी bird उसमें अपना nest नहीं बनाता था। इसलिए fir tree ने पहली wish की कि उसके पास दूसरे पेड़ों की तरह green leaves हों।
अगली सुबह उसकी wish पूरी हो गई। Fir tree पर green leaves आ गए। लेकिन थोड़ी देर बाद एक goat वहाँ आई और उसने सारे green leaves खा लिए। Fir tree दुखी हुआ और उसने दूसरी wish की कि उसके पास gold leaves हों।
अगली सुबह fir tree ने देखा कि उसके सभी leaves gold के हो गए हैं। वह बहुत खुश हुआ। लेकिन एक आदमी वहाँ आया और उसने सारे gold leaves चुरा लिए।
अब fir tree ने तीसरी wish की कि उसके पास glass leaves हों, क्योंकि उसे लगा कि लोग glass leaves नहीं चुराएँगे। उसकी यह wish भी पूरी हो गई। लेकिन रात में तेज हवा चली और उसके सारे glass leaves टूट गए।
अब fir tree समझ गया कि उसके पुराने needle-like leaves ही उसके लिए सबसे अच्छे थे। उसने अपनी चौथी wish में कहा कि उसे उसके पुराने needle-like leaves वापस चाहिए, ताकि goats उन्हें खा न सकें, आदमी उन्हें चुरा न सके और हवा उन्हें तोड़ न सके।
