The Donkey and the Dog - Hindi Translation

A washerman had a donkey and a dog.
Hindi Anuvad: Ek dhobi ke paas ek gadha aur ek kutta tha.

Every morning he used to go to the river to wash clothes.
Hindi Anuvad: Har subah vah kapde dhone ke liye nadi par jata tha.

The donkey used to carry the load of clothes.
Hindi Anuvad: Gadha kapdon ka bhar dhota tha.

He used to live in a shed outside the master's house and the dog used to stay inside the house the whole day long.
Hindi Anuvad: Vah malik ke ghar ke bahar ek chhappar mein rahta tha aur kutta poore din ghar ke andar rahta tha.

In the evening the dog used to feel happy to see his master.
Hindi Anuvad: Shaam ko kutta apne malik ko dekhkar khush hota tha.

He used to lick his master and jump on him.
Hindi Anuvad: Vah apne malik ko chaatta tha aur uske upar kudta tha.

The master used to lift the dog in his arms and take him inside the house.
Hindi Anuvad: Malik kutte ko apni bahon mein utha leta tha aur use ghar ke andar le jata tha.

Seeing this, the donkey also wanted to live in the house.
Hindi Anuvad: Yah dekhkar gadha bhi ghar mein rehna chahta tha.

May be, if I also jump on him like the dog, he will surely lift me too in his arms and carry me inside the house.
Hindi Anuvad: Gadhe ne socha, shayad agar main bhi kutte ki tarah uske upar kudunga, to vah mujhe bhi apni bahon mein uthakar ghar ke andar le jayega.

The next evening, the donkey went inside the house.
Hindi Anuvad: Agli shaam gadha ghar ke andar chala gaya.

He jumped on his master and began to lick him.
Hindi Anuvad: Vah apne malik ke upar kud gaya aur use chaatne laga.

The master did not lift the donkey. He took him to the shed.
Hindi Anuvad: Malik ne gadhe ko nahi uthaya. Vah use chhappar mein le gaya.

Patting the donkey, the master said, you are not like the dog. You are much bigger.
Hindi Anuvad: Gadhe ko thapthapate hue malik ne kaha, tum kutte jaise nahi ho. Tum bahut bade ho.

You are also heavy and so you must not jump on me.
Hindi Anuvad: Tum bhari bhi ho aur isliye tumhe mere upar nahi kudna chahiye.

I can lift the dog but I cannot lift you.
Hindi Anuvad: Main kutte ko utha sakta hoon, lekin tumhe nahi utha sakta.

But I love you as much as I love the dog.
Hindi Anuvad: Lekin main tumse utna hi pyar karta hoon jitna kutte se karta hoon.

You must understand that you are different.
Hindi Anuvad: Tumhe samajhna chahiye ki tum alag ho.

We should not try to copy others as each one of us is unique.
Hindi Anuvad: Humein doosron ki nakal karne ki koshish nahi karni chahiye, kyonki hum mein se pratyek vyakti alag aur anokha hai.
