Ganga hamari rashtriya nadi hai. Yah vishwa ki dharoharon mein se ek hai. Ganga Bharat ki jeevan rekha aur hamare desh ki sabse mahatvapurn nadiyon mein se ek hai. Ise pavitra mana jata hai aur Devi Ganga ke roop mein iski pooja ki jati hai.
Ganga apni yatra Gomukh se shuru karti hai. Gomukh Himalaya mein barf se bani ek gufa hai. Barf pighalti hai aur pani ek chhoti dhara ke roop mein bahar nikalta hai. Jaise-jaise Ganga pahadon se neeche bahti hai, vaise-vaise kai chhoti dharayen ismein milti jati hain. Is prakar Ganga badi aur badi hoti jati hai. Pahadon se neeche bahte samay iski gati bahut tez hoti hai. Maidano mein pahunchne par yah aur chaudi hoti jati hai.
Ganga Haridwar mein maidano mein pahunchti hai. Maidano mein yah Bharat ke anek gaonon aur nagaron se hokar bahti hai. Ganga nadi ke dono kinaron par hare-bhare khet hain.
Maidano mein kai badi nadiyan Ganga mein milti hain. Yamuna aur Saraswati Allahabad mein Ganga se milti hain. Teenon nadiyon ke is milan sthal ko Triveni Sangam kaha jata hai. Yah sthan bahut pavitra hai aur ise Teerth Raj Prayag kaha jata hai.
Prayag ka Kumbh Mela duniya mein logon ke sabse bade dharmik aayojanon mein se ek ke roop mein antarrashtriya prasiddhi prapt kar chuka hai. Bahut se Hindu mante hain ki Ganga mein pavitra snan karne se vyakti ki aatma pichhle sabhi paapon se shuddh ho sakti hai.
