Where Do All the Teachers Go? - हिंदी अनुवाद
एक छोटे बच्चे के लिए teacher बहुत खास होता है। छोटे बच्चे के लिए यह कल्पना करना कठिन होता है कि उसका teacher भी एक सामान्य व्यक्ति है। बच्चा school में teacher को केवल teacher के रूप में देखता है और इसलिए उसके मन में कई तरह के प्रश्न आते हैं।
बच्चा सोचता है कि जब चार बजे school खत्म हो जाता है, तब सभी teachers कहाँ जाते होंगे। क्या वे भी घरों में रहते हैं और अपने socks धोते हैं? क्या वे pyjamas पहनते हैं और TV देखते हैं? क्या वे भी हमारी तरह अपनी नाक साफ करते हैं?
बच्चा आगे सोचता है कि क्या teachers दूसरे लोगों के साथ रहते हैं और क्या उनके भी mums और dads होते हैं। क्या वे भी कभी बच्चे थे? क्या वे भी बचपन में कभी शरारती रहे होंगे?
बच्चा यह भी सोचता है कि क्या teachers ने कभी spelling गलत लिखी होगी और क्या उन्होंने भी mistakes की होंगी। अगर उन्होंने कोई गलती की होगी, तो क्या उन्हें भी class के corner में punishment मिली होगी? क्या उन्होंने कभी chocolate flakes चुराए होंगे?
बच्चा सोचता है कि क्या teachers ने कभी अपनी hymn books खोई होंगी, vegetables नहीं खाई होंगी, desks पर कुछ लिखा होगा या पुराने और गंदे jeans पहने होंगे।
अंत में बच्चा decide करता है कि वह किसी एक teacher का घर तक पीछा करेगा और यह पता लगाएगा कि teacher school के बाद क्या करते हैं। फिर वह उस जानकारी को एक poem में लिखेगा, जिसे teacher भी पढ़ सकेंगे।
