Three Questions - हिंदी अनुवाद
बहुत समय पहले एक बहुत बहादुर और दयालु राजा रहता था। वह अपने लोगों की अच्छी तरह सेवा करना चाहता था। एक दिन उसके मन में विचार आया कि यदि उसे तीन बातों का सही ज्ञान हो जाए, तो वह कभी असफल नहीं होगा।
उसके तीन प्रश्न थे:
1. किसी काम को शुरू करने का सही समय क्या है?
2. उसे किन लोगों की बात सुननी चाहिए?
3. उसके लिए सबसे महत्वपूर्ण काम क्या है?
राजा ने इन तीन प्रश्नों के उत्तर पाने के लिए अपने राज्य में संदेश भेजा और घोषणा की कि जो व्यक्ति इन तीनों प्रश्नों के उत्तर देगा, उसे बहुत-सा धन इनाम में दिया जाएगा।
बहुत-से विद्वान राजा के पास आए, लेकिन सभी ने अलग-अलग उत्तर दिए। पहले प्रश्न के उत्तर में कुछ लोगों ने कहा कि राजा को एक timetable बनाकर उसका पालन करना चाहिए। कुछ ने कहा कि किसी काम का सही समय पहले से तय करना संभव नहीं है। कुछ अन्य लोगों ने कहा कि राजा को बुद्धिमान लोगों की council रखनी चाहिए। कुछ ने कहा कि केवल जादूगर ही भविष्य देखकर सही समय बता सकते हैं।
दूसरे प्रश्न पर भी अलग-अलग उत्तर मिले। कुछ लोगों ने कहा कि राजा को अपने advisers की बात सुननी चाहिए, जबकि कुछ ने soldiers को सबसे महत्वपूर्ण बताया। तीसरे प्रश्न पर कुछ लोगों ने science, कुछ ने warfare और कुछ ने religious worship को सबसे महत्वपूर्ण बताया।
राजा किसी भी उत्तर से संतुष्ट नहीं हुआ। इसलिए उसने एक प्रसिद्ध hermit से सलाह लेने का निर्णय किया। वह hermit जंगल में रहता था और कभी वहाँ से बाहर नहीं निकलता था। वह केवल सामान्य लोगों से मिलता था। इसलिए राजा ने साधारण कपड़े पहने, अपने घोड़े को bodyguards के पास छोड़ा और अकेला hermit से मिलने चला गया।
जब राजा hermit की झोपड़ी के पास पहुँचा, तो उसने देखा कि बूढ़ा और कमजोर hermit अपनी झोपड़ी के सामने जमीन खोद रहा था। राजा ने उससे अपने तीनों प्रश्न पूछे। Hermit ने कोई उत्तर नहीं दिया और जमीन खोदता रहा। राजा ने देखा कि वह थक गया है, इसलिए उसने उससे spade लिया और खुद जमीन खोदने लगा।
एक घंटे के बाद दूसरा घंटा भी बीत गया और सूर्य डूबने लगा। तभी एक दाढ़ी वाला व्यक्ति उनकी ओर दौड़ता हुआ आया। उसके पेट से खून बह रहा था। वह राजा के पास पहुँचकर बेहोश हो गया। राजा ने उसके घाव को धोया और अपने handkerchief से bandage किया। उसने कई बार पट्टी बदली और खून रुकने तक उसकी देखभाल की। फिर राजा और hermit ने घायल व्यक्ति को झोपड़ी में ले जाकर बिस्तर पर लिटा दिया।
अगली सुबह जब राजा उठा, तो घायल व्यक्ति ने उससे माफी माँगी। उसने बताया कि वह राजा का दुश्मन था। राजा ने उसके भाई को मरवा दिया था और उसकी property भी ले ली थी। वह राजा को मारने आया था, लेकिन राजा के bodyguards ने उसे घायल कर दिया। राजा ने उसकी जान बचाई थी। इसलिए अब वह राजा का सबसे faithful servant बनने का वादा करता है।
राजा खुश हुआ कि उसका दुश्मन उसका मित्र बन गया। उसने उस व्यक्ति की property वापस करने का वादा किया। इसके बाद वह hermit से अपने प्रश्नों के उत्तर लेने वापस गया। Hermit ने कहा कि उसके प्रश्नों के उत्तर पहले ही मिल चुके हैं।
Hermit ने समझाया कि जब राजा उसके लिए जमीन खोद रहा था, तब वही सबसे महत्वपूर्ण समय था, hermit सबसे महत्वपूर्ण व्यक्ति था और उसकी मदद करना राजा का सबसे महत्वपूर्ण काम था। बाद में जब घायल व्यक्ति आया, तब उसकी देखभाल करने का समय सबसे महत्वपूर्ण था, वह व्यक्ति सबसे महत्वपूर्ण था और उसकी मदद करना सबसे महत्वपूर्ण काम था।
अंत में hermit ने राजा को बताया कि केवल एक ही समय महत्वपूर्ण है - वर्तमान समय यानी Now। सबसे महत्वपूर्ण व्यक्ति वही है जिसके साथ हम इस समय हैं, क्योंकि हमें नहीं पता कि भविष्य में क्या होगा। और सबसे महत्वपूर्ण काम उस व्यक्ति के साथ भलाई करना है, क्योंकि हमें इसी उद्देश्य से दुनिया में भेजा गया है।
